I am not a Cuban-American. I was born and raised in Indiana. When anyone says that Elian should return to Cuba, they seem to forget that Cuba is run by a brutal, murderous dictator. This is the same man who pointed nuclear missiles at the United States. They also seem unaware that parents have no rights in Cuba, that children are the property of the State. Fidel Castro has murdered thousands of his own people, including children, imprisoned others, and caused the disappearance of still others. Sending a child to live in virtual prison amounts to little more than child abuse.

I originally designed this page as a one-page site with a guestbook. But the more I got into this issue, the stronger my passion grew for Elian's quest for freedom. I found that I could not keep up with the daily updates on the Elian saga, at least not enough to keep this page up-to-date.

So now this website points to a much better, more organized website: Free Elian Gonzalez. That site covers everything regarding Elian's struggle for freedom, and is kept up-to-date.

In addition, for those who want to keep up with daily events regarding Elian, I have an email newsletter containing stories that you will not find in the traditional media such as CNN and the three major networks. You can subscribe to the newsletter by clicking here and following the instructions.

The guestbook was eliminated due to the heavy volume of vulgar, obscene and bigoted posts that were appearing there and eventually were deleted. For this reason I now have a monitored message board which is being used exclusively by those who support Elian's freedom in the United States. For those who wish to debate the issue, there are lots of other forums available on the internet for your enjoyment. Mine is not a debate forum, but a forum for freedom supporters to express their views. I am in the process of archiving all of the guestbook entries, and you can find them by clicking here

You can also write a prayer for Elian online in one of three areas, including a monitored message board for that purpose.
